Animal Hospital of Ludington was founded on November 20, 1991, by Dr. Stephen Paxton, with a commitment to providing “Quality, Caring, Compassionate Companion Animal Medical and Surgical Services.” Today, that legacy continues as the hospital remains privately owned and operated by his daughter, Dr. Leslie Deines.

For us, our founding philosophy is more than a string of words—it is a way of life. We are passionate about animal health care and dedicated to helping each patient enjoy a long, healthy, and happy life. From Dr. Paxton’s original vision to Dr. Deines’ leadership today, our commitment remains the same: delivering quality, compassionate care with every interaction.
